Today we announced the first post-launch content for Cities: Skylines II, the asset pack Beach Properties, which will be released on the 25th of March, 2024. Alongside the patch we will introduce the first stage of the long-awaited modding support, providing players with the tools to create, share, and play with mods through an integrated in-game interface.


Modding is the lifeblood of Cities: Skylines and we’re excited to start our public modding beta. The creativity and feedback from our players make this community great and we can’t wait to see what they create using the tools we provide. Starting on the 25th of March, players will be able to create custom maps using the in-game Editor and implement Code Mods, both of which can be shared through the Paradox Mods platform. Tools for asset creation and other modding options will be available later this year as we continue to expand the modding tools and empower our players to create the cities of their dreams.
